Job Description

Video Editor (Adobe Premiere, Social Media & Marketing Content) – Remote | U.S. Hours

Position Type: Full-Time, Remote Working Hours: U.S. Client Business Hours, with flexibility for launches, campaigns, and deadlines

At Pavago, we're hiring a Video Editor for one of our clients to create engaging, polished, and performance-driven video content across social media, marketing campaigns, paid advertising, websites, and internal communications.

This is more than a technical editing role. You'll be responsible for turning raw footage into compelling stories designed to capture attention, increase watch time, improve audience retention, and strengthen campaign performance.

You'll create and optimize content across platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, websites, and paid advertising channels.

If you understand how editing pace, storytelling, hooks, visuals, and platform-specific formats influence content performance, this role is a strong fit.

Video Editing & Content Creation
  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging, and professional videos.
  • Create both short-form and long-form content.
  • Work with editing platforms such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Build edits around strong storytelling, pacing, and audience attention.
  • Create compelling openings and maintain viewer interest throughout each video.
  • Align every edit with brand guidelines, campaign objectives, and marketing goals.
  • Adapt editing styles based on platform, audience, and content purpose.
Social Media & Platform Optimization
  • Create platform-native video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube & YouTube Shorts, LinkedIn, websites, and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Adapt content into multiple aspect ratios, including 16:9, 9:16, and 1:1.
  • Repurpose footage into multiple pieces of content without making each version feel repetitive.
  • Optimize exports for the appropriate combination of quality, file size, and platform requirements.
  • Understand how editing styles differ between short-form social content, long-form video, and advertising creative.
Motion Graphics & Visual Enhancements
  • Add professional captions, titles, lower thirds, motion graphics, transitions, and visual overlays.
  • Use tools such as Adobe After Effects and Canva when appropriate.
  • Maintain consistent typography, visual language, and brand presentation.
  • Enhance videos without over-editing or distracting from the core message.
Audio & Color
  • Clean and balance audio for professional output.
  • Improve dialogue clarity and reduce unwanted background noise.
  • Handle audio syncing and volume leveling.
  • Add appropriate licensed music and sound effects.
  • Perform color correction and grading.
  • Maintain visual consistency between different cameras, clips, and environments.
Footage & Project Management
  • Import, organize, and maintain raw footage and creative assets.
  • Keep project files and folder structures clean and consistent.
  • Maintain clear version control throughout revision cycles.
  • Archive completed projects so footage and assets can be easily retrieved and repurposed.
  • Manage multiple editing projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Collaboration & Revisions
  • Work closely with marketing teams, content strategists, and creative teams.
  • Receive and manage feedback through tools such as Frame.io and shared review systems.
  • Turn revisions around quickly while maintaining quality.
  • Communicate clearly about timelines, creative requirements, and deliverables.
  • Incorporate stakeholder feedback without losing consistency or creative direction.
Performance Optimization
  • Review content performance metrics including watch time, audience retention, engagement, and CTR.
  • Identify patterns in high- and low-performing content.
  • Apply performance insights to future edits.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to test new hooks, formats, pacing, and creative approaches.
  • Continuously improve editing decisions based on actual audience behavior.
What Makes You a Strong Fit
  • You understand that great video editing is about storytelling and attention, not just transitions and effects.
  • You know how to make the opening seconds of a video count.
  • You can edit both short-form and long-form content effectively.
  • You understand how content consumption differs across TikTok, Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, and paid ads.
  • You can execute quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • You're highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects.
  • You take ownership of your work from raw footage through final export.
  • You're receptive to feedback and can handle revision cycles professionally.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
  • Strong proficiency with one or more of Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and DaVinci Resolve.
  • Experience editing social media and marketing content.
  • Strong understanding of video pacing, storytelling, viewer retention, and platform-specific content.
  • Experience with audio cleanup and syncing, color correction, captions and graphics, multi-platform formatting, and platform-specific exports.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Portfolio demonstrating professional video editing work.
Preferred Experience
  • Adobe After Effects and motion graphics experience.
  • Experience editing paid advertising creatives, UGC-style videos, performance marketing content, short-form social content, and long-form YouTube content.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics such as watch time, audience retention, CTR, and engagement.
  • Experience using Frame.io or similar creative review platforms.
  • Background supporting SaaS companies, e-commerce brands, marketing agencies, and media companies.

  • Perform audio cleanup and color correction.
  • Create platform-specific versions and exports.
