Job Description

Area Manager — Vale Healthy Kitchen | Miami, FL

\n

\n

Be the Force Behind Florida's Fastest-Growing Healthy Food Brand.

\n

Healthy food has a branding problem. It's either expensive, bland, or both — and we're done with that.

\n

\n

Vale Healthy Kitchen is on a mission to change what it means to eat well. We're building real communities around real food: fully customizable, made-from-scratch bowls with antibiotic- and hormone-free proteins, served fast, priced fairly, and crafted for people who actually want to feel good. Think Chipotle — but cleaner ingredients, bolder flavors, and a culture that actually gives a damn.

\n

\n

We now have 10 locations across Florida — Wynwood, Gainesville, Tampa x 2, Jacksonville, Fort Lauderdale, Brickell, Pinecrest, Boca Raton, and Delray Beach — and we're just getting started. The next chapter of this growth story needs a leader like you.

\n

The Role: Area Manager — South FL Miami District

\n

\n

You're not just managing restaurants. You're the Head Coach of a championship team.

\n

This Area Manager role oversees three Vale locations: Pinecrest, Brickell, and Wynwood — a dynamic district that puts you at the center of two of Florida's most exciting, fast-growing markets. You'll lead and elevate a team of General Managers who look to you to set the standard, and you'll be a driving force as Vale continues its statewide expansion.

\n

If you're the kind of person who walks into a room and makes it better — who spots untapped potential in people before they see it themselves — this is your seat at the table.

\n

What You'll Own

\n

\n

People First, Always

\n
    \n
  • Build a deep bench of talent at every level — from identifying raw potential in the community to developing polished, promotion-ready General Managers across all three locations
  • \n
  • Lead your GMs personally and professionally through intentional coaching, real feedback, and an infectious belief in what people can become
  • \n
  • Drive a culture of excellence rooted in authenticity — where your team trusts you, learns from you, and runs through walls for you
  • \n
\n

\n

Business Performance

\n
    \n
  • Own your district's P&L across Miami — hitting and surpassing top-line sales goals while maintaining smart labor and food cost management
  • \n
  • Identify leading indicators early and pivot fast — you don't wait for problems to show up in reports
  • \n
  • Build and execute local community marketing strategies that turn neighborhoods into loyal Vale fans
  • \n
\n

\n

Operational Mastery

\n
    \n
  • Ensure every Vale location under your watch delivers on our promise: fresh, high-quality food, made the right way, every single day
  • \n
  • Champion food safety, culinary standards, and operational consistency across all three locations
  • \n
  • Create and scale systems that make your GMs' lives easier and your guest experience consistently exceptional
  • \n
\n

\n

Growth & Culture

\n
    \n
  • Foster a collaborative, team-first spirit with a healthy competitive edge that keeps everyone growing
  • \n
  • Develop brand ambassadors in every neighborhood you operate in — people who bring Vale into their communities
  • \n
  • Remove barriers. Solve problems. Make your teams feel supported so they can focus on what matters most: the guest.
  • \n
\n

\n

You Bring

\n
    \n
  • 5+ years of restaurant management experience , with a track record of leading and developing teams
  • \n
  • Experience in fast casual restaurant operations (strongly preferred)
  • \n
  • Proven ability to manage and grow 25+ team members per shift
  • \n
  • Solid command of P&L, COGS, labor scheduling, budgeting, and financial planning
  • \n
  • ServSafe Manager's Certification (or willingness to obtain before start)
  • \n
  • Experience leading food safety programs and culinary operations
  • \n
  • Strong instincts for people — you know how to read a room, build trust, and inspire action
  • \n
  • The ability to hold multiple variables at once: food quality, team performance, guest experience, and financial results — simultaneously
  • \n
  • Comfortable with regular travel between South Florida to support all three locations
  • \n
\n

\n

The Vale DNA (non-negotiables):

\n
    \n
  • Coachable — you actively seek feedback and use it to grow
  • \n
  • Self-starter — you don't wait to be told; you see what needs to happen and make it happen
  • \n
  • Guest-obsessed — you feel it when the experience falls short and you fix it
  • \n
  • Innovative — you're always asking "how do we do this better?"
  • \n
  • Passionate about real food — Vale's mission isn't just a job to you; it means something
  • \n
  • High-energy — you love the pace and thrive in it
  • \n
\n

\n

What's In It For You

\n
    \n
  • Competitive salary + performance bonus tied to sales, labor, and food costs
  • \n
  • Health, dental & vision insurance — Vale covers 50%
  • \n
  • A real career path — we promote from within and build futures here
  • \n
  • Complimentary Vale meals — eat what we make, every day
  • \n
  • Annual Vale Retreat — our team comes together to recharge and reconnect
  • \n
  • Free Vale swag — wear the brand you're building
  • \n
  • ⏰ Flexible scheduling — because life outside of work matters
  • \n
  • A team that has your back — people who live the values, not just hang them on a wall
  • \n
  • ️ 2 weeks Paid Time Off
  • \n
\n

\n

\n

The future of healthy food is being built in Florida — and we want you helping lead the way. If you're a driven, people-first leader who's ready to run a real business and make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you.

\n

Come join the Vale team. Let's build something great.
